  • PAID SICK TIME (PST) REQUEST FOR NEW MEXICO PAYROLL ASSOCIATES:

    Effective July 01, 2022, Atrium Payroll Services Associates that work in New Mexico are eligible to accrue earned sick time on all hours worked at a rate of one (1) hour of earned sick time for every 30 hours worked. No more than 64 hours can be used in a calendar year. Up to 64 hours of unused earned sick leave can carry over year to year.

    Bernalillo County Paid Sick Time

    Effective July 01, 2020, Atrium Payroll Services Associates that work in Bernalillo County, New Mexico are eligible to accrue earned sick time on all hours worked at a rate of one (1) hour of earned sick time for every 32 hours worked. Effective July 1, 2022, associates can accrue up to 56 hours per calendar year. Any earned but unused PST may be carried forward into a new calendar year, up to a maximum of 56 hours.

    *The statewide law does not preempt Bernalillo County’s Paid Sick Leave Ordinances. Atrium’s calendar year is defined as January 1 to December 31. You must be on an active assignment to be eligible for a PST payment. Paid sick time may be taken in one (1) hour increments. If the sick leave is foreseeable, you must verbally notify your immediate supervisor and Atrium counselor no more than seven days in advance of the need for leave. PST is paid at your current hourly rate.

    If your assignment ends at any point, earned but unused PST is not paid out. If you go back to work within twelve (12) months, and have met the eligibility requirements, earned unused sick time accrued before the break in service will be reinstated.

    Your PST request will be reviewed by Payroll to ensure eligibility requirements have been met. Please allow 7-14 business days for approval and processing of payment. If eligibility requirements are not met, Payroll will contact you.
