Atrium’s calendar year is defined as January 1 to December 31.

Earned sick time may be taken on the 91st calendar day of the effective date of the Washington sick pay mandate or on the 91st calendar day of employment, whichever is later. Up to 72 hours of earned but unused PST may be carried forward into a new calendar year.

*The statewide law does not preempt Seattle, Spokane and Tacoma’s Paid Sick Leave Ordinances. Associates receive the benefit of whichever provides the more generous leave.

Sick Leave will begin to accrue upon the completion of 90 days of employment. Any earned but unused PST may be carried forward into a new calendar year.

PST may be taken in one (1) hour increments. If the PST is foreseeable, you must verbally notify your immediate supervisor and Atrium counselor in advance of the need for leave. Sick time is requested using the form below and paid at your current hourly rate. Sick Leave may be used for the Associate’s own or a family member for the diagnosis, care or treatment of an existing health condition or preventive care or for specified purposes for an Associate who is a victim of domestic violence, sexual assault or stalking.

If your assignment ends at any point, earned but unused PST is not paid out. If you go back to work within one (1) year, and have met the eligibility requirements, you are able to use earned sick time accrued before the break in service.

You must be on an active assignment to be eligible for a PST payment, and submission may not be more than 14 days from the date of request.
